Freeze Protection
The right water sealer is the most important thing that can be done to preserve your concrete statuary. Water sealer preserves the finish for years longer, keeps the surface from spalding (flaking) after a quick freeze and provides protection from the freeze-thaw cycle that is destructive to concrete. Please note: water sealer does NOT protect any item from the damage caused by expansion of ice in a bowl.
